Analytics dashboard and conversion goals
Analytics is the store-level view for traffic, checkout behavior, conversion goals, and revenue attribution. It should respect the selected store and the active time range, without carrying old data from the previously selected store.
Default time range
Most charts default to 7 days so the dashboard loads quickly and stays readable. Users can select longer periods based on plan: Starter up to 30 days, Growth up to 90 days, Scale up to 6 months, and Enterprise beyond a year where enabled.
Visitor counts versus page views
Total Visitors and Page Views can differ because they measure different things. A visitor is a session or visitor identity observed by the SDK. A page view is a tracked page load. If a visitor lands once and performs multiple tracked actions without full page navigation, visitors and page views will not move together.
Conversion goals
Conversion goals mark the events that matter for the store. Common goals include checkout_complete, payment_result, order_completed, and custom events emitted by the storefront or connector. Goals should load with the analytics data so saved goals do not lag behind the selected store.
Dense traffic stores
For high-volume stores, charts should show aggregated daily or interval-level data rather than trying to render every raw event point in the browser. The dashboard should summarize data for the selected range, preserve trend accuracy, and keep the page responsive.
